Trump's Inauguration
To govern well, Trump needs a loyal opposition. Not a bunch of shrill, attention seeking naysayers.

Today, Trump will be sworn in as President of the United States of America.
In November, I was on the fence about him.
Now I am glad he won.
Under Biden the USA was veering off a cliff. Biden and the democrats were not focused on ordinary Americans. They had been elected to solve problems. Too often they simply wanted to make themselves look good. So, yes. I am glad that Trump won.
But he not perfect. He will make many mistakes. And for now, there is no effective opposition. Too many have Trump Derangement Syndrome. Like AOC that are just too infected with the woke mind virus. They are unable to provide a sensible counterweight.
And the USA has real challenges. So does the world.
So, for those who are celebrating Trump's win, I join you. But I am also wishing you humility.
For those not celebrating - I hope you turn away from populist political bromides and useless slogans. Up to now, the opposition has been shrill and petty. Focused on form over substance.
But we are all better off if the Trump administration has to confront meaningful debate on the substance of their policies. The American people hired its political class to solve real problems. That requires an articulate, and meaningful opposition. An opposition that is willing to help Trump and the Republicans come up with better solutions.
Let's say goodbye to the endless culture wars that solve nothing.
The United States leads the free world.
The stakes could not be higher.
We need to get this right.

This did not age well!
The challenge is #47 is not there to govern, rather to profit. So both sides of the spectrum, which is still a minority, even when combined, display stupidity and compromise all values for power.
So your comments could expand to those now governing to also grow up and govern, they won, stop fighting and get something done.
